Florida Broadleaf a green staple in Zimbabwe, is pest-tolerant due to its hot mustard taste.It produces a large plant with oval leaves rich in vitamins and minerals. Florida Broadleaf can be harvested continuously and the best taste is in leaves 7 – 10 cm long. The best yields are achieved between April and August because the cold season delays the onset of flowering in the plant. It is a highly sought after crop on the local markets, making it a good income generator.

Tsunga Florida Broadleaf does better where soils are rich in organic matter, leaf size and quality improves where organic manure is added.
