As NTS we enter into forward contracts with both large and small scale Farmers for seed production. These contracts include various seed crops such as maize, soya beans, wheat, field beans, and vegetable seeds. Parent seeds are supplied to the farmers and to ensure that the production meets the required standards, we monitor the production process and have government inspectors conduct periodic inspections to ensure that it meets the relevant legislated seed production standards.

Seed Processing & Conditioning

Seed is transported to the NTS seed processing facility in Norton, Harare and upon arrival, the seed is inspected to ensure it meets the minimum purity and germination standards. The received seed is then cleaned and stored until the selling season, when it is treated and packaged based on sale requirements.

Wholesale Seed Distribution

NTS seed is distributed through Farm Shops and major retailers across Zimbabwe, from small packets to 25kg packets.

We have access to some of the best germplasm and we hold licenses for many seed varieties, including maize, soya beans, wheat, groundnuts, sugar beans, and cowpeas. Additionally, we maintain relationships with international seed houses to identify superior hybrid vegetable seeds for the Zimbabwean market.
