Powerslam is specifically selected for African production conditions. It has excellent resistance to Black rot infection, caused by the pathogen Xanthomonas Campestris pv. Campestris. Since summer rainfall regions are most prone to Black rot infection, Powerslam is ideally suited to the summer growing season. It is a very versatile cabbage for different markets and production areas. It can be used for pre-packing and processing. Powerslam matures between 75 and 85 days from transplant.
