Fordhook Giant has a dark glossy green leaf colour. Fordhook Giant takes 58 days to mature after seedling transplant. Stems are broad and white in colour. The leaves are deeply savoyed and the leaf margins are rippled. This swiss chard variety is the most commonly used variety in South Africa.
SPECIAL VARIETAL REQUIREMENTS
- Make sure that you plant on beds or ridges in the summer if possible
- The leaf must curl over on the head before harvest (as seen in the photo above)
